Good food, good service, good prices.

As new residents here, we decided to get breakfast here this morning. All I can say is “WOW”! The cook did a fabulous job!! The wait service was excellent!! We will be definitely be eating here a lot more. I highly recommend this restaurant. July 29, 2020.

Kind of rushed. Orders not accurate. Good food when orders were correct.

Don't judge a place by its looks. A lesson I learned by eating at Matthew's Pancake House. I ended up eating there twice while in the area for vacation. They have everything from pancakes to quinoa. The food is great. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is local diner. Vegetarian option are available. I will come back! I am already planning my next vacation in nearby Calabash, NC.

Good food, slow service

It was good this morning. I know my food will be delicious and how I ordered it. The waitress do a good job.

Hadn't been there in a year and was happy with the improvement. My eggs were over medium and came as ordered. Sausage had a good flavor. Pancakes were good and held up to the syrup. My wife had the spinach, mushroom, and bacon omelet and was very satisfied. Coffee and iced tea were fine.

Wow. From the outside it looks like just another diner. Nope. It's really really good. Creme brulee french toast... 😫😫! They have some really elevated menu items. Beignets are amazing ! 10/10 would recommend. If you can finish your food... You're not human!

Clean, friendly and with something on the menue for every taste. Plenty of I will not hesitate to stop by again.

Thus is my favorite place to eat in Little River SC. The fish and grits is great. My favorite thing is the grilled blueberry muffins.

Only have ever eaten breakfast there. But always very good Sometime I'll have to go for lunch and dinner.

Food was good, staff was slow and needs to write orders down vs trying to remember.

I had French toast with scrambled eggs and a side of hash browns. It was very delicious and very affordable. The staff were all very friendly as well!

Stopped here on our way home from Myrtle Beach for brunch. Awesome price, incredible food and Beignets are phenomenal! We will be making this stop a tradition.

Don’t be fooled by the rough appearance! The food was delicious, prices reasonable. We waited a bit longer than expected for a diner, but everything came out fresh and hot. Excellent biscuits and gravy, no funny business. We also had the 2-2-2-2, French toast and the Parisian Benedict. Small spaces, expect to sit close to the party next to you.

We really enjoyed our visit this morning. The waitress was very nice and checked on us many times. We will be back for sure! I had the gravy biscuit combo, two eggs over easy and 3 pancakes 🥞! Coffee was great too 😎! I highly recommend you try it for yourself. 👍

Expect consistently good food and great service, but be prepared to be patient. A popular local spot for a traditional hearty American breakfast, the restaurant can go from half empty to overflowing the short time leaving the staff scrambling feverishly to serve everyone promptly. They have a large menu so don't be surprised if you find a favorite after a few visits.

Went on a Sunday around 11. There was no one telling us what to do just a sign saying to walt to be seated. The next person in went to the check out and was put on a list. We were right there and the cashier never said anything to us. So we went to get put on the list. Waited less than 10 min. It took 2 trips to the table to get drinks. Then after we order it was 45 min before anyone even acknowledged we didn't have food. We had 2 young children. We had asked for fruit to bring out right away to keep them happy. That took 15 min. We should have left but didn't . By the time the food came none of us were in the mood to eat it. We were told sundays are busy. Meanwhile while we waited the place emptied. Obviously something went wrong. Then when we pay they know we are upset because after we got our food they kept hovering over us. Not even an offer to take something off the bill. Worst experience.

Love Mathews. This is our go to breakfast spot when in the area. Food is always fresh and hot. Rarely a wait when we go, but we tend to eat later than others 10ish. Occasionally when very busy, food can take a bit long. Well worth the wait. Everyone is very friendly.

We had breakfast and it was really good. I had the special of the day which was really a great deal. Being a senior I look for those types of deals. I would definitely recommend them, friendly staff, good food and great prices. I will be going back soon.

Food is always great as well as the service! I love the fact that they have turkey sausage and bacon. Small things like that matter to someone who doesn't eat pork all the time nor chicken!

Good food with plenty of variety to choose from. Prices are reasonable; portions on the large side. Clean and comfortable facility. Quick service...very friendly. We stop here every time we leave the coast because it is consistently good.
